Fun in the SUN!!!

Well I am packed and ready for 8 days with my girls in sunny Florida. I am of course getting in a few extra kisses and squeezes with my grandbaby. He is so stinking cute!!! You ladies have an excellent week and if you see Neil out and about make sure he isn't starving!
I just wanted to say I thought the baskets turned out adorable and everyone did such a great job! No whining either!!!
Hey Kim, excellent job on the blog. You are the QUEEN!!!

Vacation

Well, I just finished packing and thought I'd remind you all I leave in the morning for Puerta Vallarta. I hear it's going to be cooler tomorrow, so I guess it's a good day to go....then again, what wouldnt' be a good day to leave with your sisters and daughter for a few days of sun and relaxation.

I'll think of you all while I'm away.

The Case of the Lost Pen!

At the November 2008 meeting at Gayle Krueger's house somebody left their Pilot P-700 pen (as shown in the picture). It has been brought up at each meeting since. I currently am in possession of this pen until someone emails me and claims it (or until I misplace it). At that point I will return it to it's rightful owner.

March 16th

My aren't you the speedy one Kim!! Great job setting up the site. I'm glad you included our Creed. I haven't ever "blogged" before, but how hard can it be, right?
Tonight was a lot of fun. As you will see I like to play on the computer and will be chatting with you now and then. I likely will be doing my posting when I should be doing something else more constructive. Although I do have a load of laundry going right now. That makes me feel like I am muli-tasking. Winky
I'm not sure about putting a video or picture on here, but I will figure it out so I can share Noelle singing "Happy Birthday" to Dave. ... ok, so I tried and couldn't figure it out, so here is a link that will take you there. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v189/waltei/?action=view&current=bdayvideo.flv

Guess that is all for tonight.
Talk to you soon. ~Jeannine

Denise's Easter Basket Project

Yup! It WAS easy! One of our craftiest members, Denise, did the lesson for tonight's meeting and we made these adorable Easter baskets! I personally made four...one for each of my girls and then one for my husband and I. Denise was kind enough to 'warn' us about the project ahead of time and made up enough kits for each member to complete the quantity and style (boy or girl) they wanted. She even brought Easter grass AND candy for the baskets! Thank you to Denise for organizing this wonderful project! So cute and so simple!

If you want to make more of these baskets on your own here's what you need:

Handle: 9" x 3/4" (1 strip)
Rim: 12" x 1" (1 strip)
Basket 9 1/2" x 1 1/4" (4 strips)

Welcome!

Tonight (March 16th, 2009) we discussed starting a blog for our Homemaker's Group. Well, it's done! Yes, it was really that simple and quick.

Please use this blog as a resource to talk about things you want to share with the group: what's happening in your life, any great recipes you come across, tips for cleaning, tips for projects, projects your working on, pictures, videotapes, ANYTHING!

Hopefully this will turn into a great way to keep updated with each other!

Just let me know if you have any questions or need any help getting started.
